Project Overview
Mercy Corps is focused on addressing the growing issue of violent conflict amid declining attention and funding for peacebuilding and governance. This project is specifically designed to understand how evidence-based arguments can shape policies and funding related to peace and good governance. The i-Lab students will be asked to synthesize evidence, document past advocacy efforts, explore the priorities of various donors, and provide recommendations for future advocacy strategies. Through interviewing stakeholders and analyzing different types of evidence, the project aims to determine effective arguments and methods for influencing policy and funding in peacebuilding and governance. The findings will not only inform Mercy Corps’ global advocacy strategy but also contribute to advancing best practices in the peacebuilding advocacy community.
