Fatima Jalloh is an alumna of the YALI Regional Leadership Centre, West Africa, a US Department of State Initiative that trains young African Leaders. She is a development practitioner with experience in community development. She worked at Plan International as a gender transformative animator where she focused on giving educational, child protection, and livelihood support to vulnerable children and communities in rural Sierra Leone.

Fatima also served as volunteer mentor at non-profits such as Girl You Can Academy and other grassroots organizations, where she empowers women and girls with life skills and mentorship.

Over the years, she has gained experience in child sponsorship, inclusive and equitable education, gender mainstreaming, advocacy, community facilitation and project management. Fatima is passionate about gender equity and economic development. At the Keough school, she hopes to understand the world’s challenges and generate policies to enhance justice and dignity for all. Fatima is the recipient of a Keough Family Fellowship.
