Muhindo Malunga holds a degree in computer engineering from Kampala International University. He has worked extensively with international organizations in Uganda, Burundi, and the Democratic Republic of Congo. As a DR Congo national, he has firsthand experience of the effects of poverty, conflict, and underdevelopment on people. His involvement in the education sector has included advocating for education as one of the keys to lifting people out of poverty.
Muhindo has worked in a multicultural context in French, English, Lingala, and Kiswahili on a wide range of issues including conducting the DRC humanitarian context analysis to inform the 2019-2024 country strategy for Tearfund DRC, a Christian charity focused on international development. He also has conducted organizational assessment for partner organizations in the areas of governance, finance, implementation capacity, operations, and leadership. Muhindo is the recipient of a Monaghan Family Global Fellowship.
