Aemro has four years of experience in university teaching and research. His research interests are value/market chain analysis, agricultural marketing, and food security, among others. Aemro also worked as a commercialization researcher for collaborative projects that focus on improving the nutritional status of children and promoting entrepreneurship for marginalized groups of people. Aemro co-founded a number of consulting enterprises that aim to solve Ethiopia’s major socioeconomic problems by working to develop the agricultural sector to accommodate Ethiopia’s unemployed youth. Aemro is a passionate advocate for youth empowerment and economic development. He believes that Ethiopia’s youth have the potential to transform the country and that the agricultural sector is the key to unlocking that potential. Aemro attended the Business Leadership program at Purdue University as a Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI) Mandela Washington Fellow. He is the recipient of a Riberas Orjales Family Fellowship.
