Wyatt Brooks

Wyatt Brooks is an assistant professor in Notre Dame’s Department of Economics and a concurrent assistant professor in the Keough School of Global Affairs. He also is a faculty fellow of the Kellogg Institute for International Studies.

Brooks studies international trade, macroeconomics and development economics. His research focuses on how individual firms’ impediments to success affect the overall performance of the economy. He has studied barriers to foreign markets, inadequate access to finance, deficient transportation infrastructure, and dispersed market information. He has conducted field research in Nicaragua, Kenya, Uganda and China.

Brooks earned his Ph.D. and M.A. in economics from the University of Minnesota, and he studied economics and math as an undergraduate at the University of Washington.
