Christian Lehman

Associate Director, Graduate Recruitment and Admissions

Christian A. Lehman is the associate director of graduate recruitment and admissions for the Master of Global Affairs program in the Keough School of Global Affairs at the University of Notre Dame. He assists with the graduate student recruitment and admissions process.

Lehman holds an MA in liberal studies with a cultural anthropology concentration, from Indiana University and a BA in interdisciplinary studies from Goshen College. Prior to joining the Keough School, he worked with graduate students in the College of Engineering as a graduate career consultant for Notre Dame’s Meruelo Family Center for Career Development. Lehman has also held roles as a student conduct officer and college and career promise advisor at Wake Technical Community College in Raleigh, North Carolina, as a residence director and career counselor at Missouri University of Science and Technology in Rolla, Missouri; and in various residential life roles at LeTourneau University in Longview, Texas; and Bethel University in Mishawaka, Indiana.

Originally from the Republic of the Marshall Islands, Lehman has lived in Ohio, Indiana, and Hawaii until moving back to Indiana to work at the University of Notre Dame. He has led student trips to domestic and international destinations including Mexico, Hungary, and Austria.

Lehman completed ethnographic field study, as part of his MA degree, in the Republic of the Marshall Islands, where he studied the revival of traditional Marshallese sailing canoe utilization and resurgence of traditional celestial and wave navigation techniques. He is completing his dissertation work through the University of Missouri where he studies dual enrollment programs in North Carolina.
