At the Keough School
Anne Hayner is responsible for developing relationships with and among graduates of the Keough School’s Kroc Institute for International Peace Studies at the University of Notre Dame, tracking their placement and connecting them with current students and faculty.
Over 30 years, the Kroc Institute has developed a vibrant professional peacebuilding network among alumni around the world which has supported peace studies programs, nongovernmental organization leadership and policy advocacy and implementation in governments and international organizations. The alumni network promotes the professional growth of graduates and their continued engagement in the mission of the Kroc Institute and the Keough School.
Biography
A member of the Kroc Institute faculty since the peace studies master’s program began in 1987, Hayner actively tracks the careers of over 1,500 alumni from the thirty years of the Kroc Institute’s master’s, PhD and undergraduate programs.
Hayner majored in languages (French, Hebrew, and German) as an undergraduate at the University of Michigan’s Residential College and earned a master’s degree in peace and justice studies from Earlham School of Religion, Richmond, Indiana. She has long been professionally active in the fields of both peace studies and international education, and regularly leads workshops and sessions for NAFSA: Association of International Educators.
