Kimberlie Orr holds a BA in public health and a JD with a specialization in immigration and alternative dispute resolution from Brigham Young University. Through the Attorney General’s Honors Program, she was appointed to be a judicial law clerk for the Executive Office of Immigration Review in Los Angeles, California. In that capacity, she advised immigration judges on a variety of complex immigration matters. She also worked as an asylum officer in the Refugee, Asylum and International Operations Directorate of the Department of Homeland Security. As an asylum officer, she adjudicated affirmative asylum applications by interviewing applicants, researching country conditions, and applying applicable law and policy. In this capacity she worked with many vulnerable populations, including unaccompanied minors and potential victims of trafficking. Kimberlie is the recipient of a Donald & Marilyn Keough Fellowship.
