Biography
Tom Reynolds is an adjunct professor of the practice in the Keough School of Global Affairs at the University of Notre Dame and a core-affiliated faculty member of the McKenna Center for Human Development and Global Business.
Reynolds's teaching focuses on preparing students to address complex business challenges through management consulting and by examining how organizations integrate sustainability into business strategy,
operations and global supply chains. Specifically, he helps students understand how organizations evaluate investments in sustainability, allocate scarce resources and make strategic decisions that strengthen long-term enterprise value while considering financial, competitive, reputational, environmental and societal impacts. He also draws on his executive experience to help students apply sound management principles to the practical realities of executive decision-making.
Reynolds supports the McKenna Center's Urban Poverty and Business Initiative, with a particular focus on the South Bend Entrepreneurship and Adversity Program, where he works with students and entrepreneurs to strengthen enterprises, foster entrepreneurship, and expand economic opportunity.
Reynolds's professional experience spans global supply chain management, manufacturing and operations, executive consulting and organizational transformation. He came to Notre Dame through the Inspired Leadership Initiative following senior leadership roles in global consulting and industry.
Throughout his career Reynolds advised CEOs, executive leadership teams and boards on manufacturing and operations, global supply chain strategy, organizational transformation, executive leadership and talent across a broad range of industries and global markets. During his consulting career, he served as a partner with three global professional services firms and held multiple global and U.S. leadership positions, including founding Egon Zehnder's Global Supply Chain and Operations Practice and serving as its global practice leader.
Reynolds holds a bachelor of science in mechanical engineering from Cornell University and an M.B.A. in finance and international business from New York University.
