Eva Dziadula

Biography & Research

Eva Dziadula is a teaching professor of economics at the University of Notre Dame. She also has a concurrent appointment at Notre Dame's Keough School of Global Affairs. 

Dziadula received her Ph.D. from the University of Illinois at Chicago. Her research focuses on the area of migration choices and immigrant assimilation in the United States, specifically focusing on marriage, divorce, fertility, and citizenship acquisition. Moreover, she studies policy impacts on the undocumented immigrant population in the United States, fertility policies in China, and costs associated with child labor in Nepal. Dziadula also applies behavioral economics to pedagogy in higher education, evaluating the role of commitment devices and social accountability in students’ academic success.

Dziadula is a fellow of the Kellogg Institute for International Studies, the Liu Institute for Asia and Asian Studies, the Klau Institute for Civil and Human Rights, and the Pulte Institute for Global Development, and an affiliated faculty with the Building Inclusive Growth (BIG) Lab, Notre Dame Initiative on Race and Resilience, as well as the Health, Humanity, and Society Program. Outside of Notre Dame, she is a Fulbright fellow and a fellow at the Global Labor Organization.
