Anne Bax

Anne Bax assumed the role of director of administration and finance on July 1, 2023 after serving as the Keough School’s associate director for finance and administration since the school's founding. Bax supports and facilitates the implementation of new strategic initiatives across the Keough School and oversees all administrative and financial aspects, coordinating with the school’s nine institutes and centers and the Washington Office. Her responsibilities include human resources, budgeting and financial management, space and IT/AV oversight and planning, and legal matters (including contracts and immigration). Prior to joining the dean’s office in the Keough School, Bax served as strategy specialist for the Keough School’s Kellogg Institute for International Studies and Notre Dame International. Before coming to Notre Dame, Bax spent six years as the associate director for finance and administration of the newly created Duke Global Health Institute. She also worked for seven years as a management consultant for the global management consulting firm Kearney in the company’s Mexico City office. Bax holds an MBA from the University of Chicago, an MIA from the School of International and Public Affairs at Columbia University, and a BA in economics from the University of Sussex. She has lived in Belgium, Canada, Mexico, the United Kingdom, and Russia. Bax is a native French speaker, and is proficient in Spanish and conversant in Russian.
