Global immersion with local impact

As part of the Master of Global Affairs (MGA) curriculum, every student engages in extensive hands-on fieldwork with global partners. 

These immersive projects allow you to test ideas, contribute to communities and shape your professional identity as a global practitioner.

You will also develop practical skills—including cross-cultural communication, project management and adaptive problem-solving—that prepare you for careers across sectors, from NGOs and government to private industry and social enterprise.

No matter which path you are on, your experiential learning is funded.

Responding to crisis

• Strengthening humanitarian cash transfer systems in Bangladesh and Uganda with Catholic Relief Services
• Supporting refugees and conflict survivors in Lebanon through American Near East Refugee Aid

Addressing global inequality

• Partnering with Oxfam in Cambodia to advance gender equity in education and finance
• Evaluating school leadership and educational outcomes in Chile with Enseña Chile

Driving sustainable development

• Promoting energy-efficient construction in India and Mexico with Habitat for Humanity International
• Investigating how climate change affects farmers in Fiji and Tonga with the Pacific Farmers Network Organization
