Kasey Swanke

Assistant Advising Professor; Center for University Advising

Kasey Swanke is an advisor for first-year students who want to explore opportunities to globalize their education through the Keough School. As a first-year advisor, Swanke has worked with students exploring majors in all disciplines including those in the Colleges of Science, Arts and Letters, Engineering, and Business.

Swanke earned a BS from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire and an MA from Notre Dame, both in political science. With interests in advising theory and practice, academic preparedness and success, engaged learning, and student group identities on campus, she is currently researching how minority students’ identities affect their academic success and well-being.

In addition to advising, Swanke regularly teaches Writing and Rhetoric, Composition, and Politics in Film. She twice won an Outstanding Graduate Student Teaching Award from Notre Dame’s Kaneb Center for Teaching and Learning.
