At the Keough School

Hal Culbertson teaches international nongovernmental management, focusing on project design and evaluation. He also contributes to research and outreach projects focusing on the management of peace initiatives.

Courses

Biography

From 2014 to 2023, Culbertson served associate dean for operations at the Keough School. Prior to becoming associate dean, Culbertson worked at the Keough School’s Kroc Institute for International Peace Studies for seventeen years, serving as executive director from 2007-2014.

Culbertson holds a JD (1991) and an MA in philosophy (1990) from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and an MA in international peace studies from Notre Dame (1996).

From 1992 to 95, Culbertson completed a term of service with Mennonite Central Committee-Bangladesh, where he served as a program administrator for a large rural development program.
