The Keough School of Global Affairs at the University of Notre Dame will launch a yearlong forum focused on the intersection of human dignity and global development, with the first event taking place March 17-18, 2022.
The March 17-18 Dignity and Development Forum event is the first in a series of engagements with global leaders, scholars, practitioners, and policy experts who will meet to share innovative proposals for advancing integral human development, the academic centerpiece of the Keough School. The events are meant to complement the themes of the 2021-2022 Notre Dame Forum, “Care for our Common Home: Just Transition to a Sustainable Future.”
Held in response to the call to action from world leaders, including Pope Francis, for a response to a complex global crisis, the forum will focus on solutions to intertwined challenges caused by climate change and ecological degradation, the impoverishment of millions, the flow of migrants and refugees, the violation of human rights, and norms of democracy and peace. It will culminate in a major conference that will be held in spring 2023.
March 17-18 events will be available virtually for off-campus audiences and in person for the Notre Dame community.
