The Chariot Race is Keough's premier event in the fall. Featuring an athletic competition between the 26 residence halls and all seven of Keough's sections, all entrants build their own chariot in the days leading up to the event. On the spectacular day, residents from across campus convene on McGlinn Fields to test their designs and compete against each other for the championship. In addition to the race, participants partake in joustin, mud wrestling and enjoy the music and food. The event usually lasts all day and culminates with a toga dance at nightfall.
